Just another WordPress.com site

We decided to attend the Winter festival in our local area.  The biggest draw for the kids was the promise of snow :).  In an area of the US that does not generally get snow for Christmas, this is quite a treat.

When we first arrived, there were tables set up where the girls could write out their letters to Santa and drop them in a red and white mailbox that’s destination was “The North Pole”.  There were also Christmas cards there that the girls colored and signed and put in a camouflaged mailbox that was destined for a US Marine in Afghanistan who wouldn’t be able to be home for the holidays.  I really liked that table :).

Next stop… Photo op with the reindeer, of course!

And you don’t think we’d skip a chat with Santa do you??

Then we had to check out the animals in the petting area…

I don’t think that man was supposed to be feeding the goats popcorn.  But they really liked it.

A Little face painting makes any day brighter 🙂

And then it was time to bring on the SNOW!!!

Fresh snow at that 😀

Super fun!

Last, but not least, we had to feel the ice sculpture.  Huh, who knew it would be cold?  Wow.  LOL

The girls had a great time and I had a pretty good afternoon as well.

Til Next Time…
